Students, faculty, and staff join Father Tom Reitmeyer, Pastor of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Austin, and Deacon Chris Sperling, for the Holy Day of the Assumption. It was Mass celebrated together with Holy Family Catholic School and families from both schools on August 15, 2025.
Bishop Recognizes St. Dominic Savio Catholic High School
Diocese of Austin Bishop Joe S. Vásquez recognized St. Dominic Savio Catholic High School for 15 years as a Diocesan Catholic high school in NW Austin at the annual Catholic Schools of the Diocese of Austin Convocation held Wednesday, August 7, at St. William Catholic Church. Nearly 800 faculty and staff from across the Diocese joined Bishop Vásquez for Mass and Adoration. The keynote speaker was Diocesan Vicar General Father James Misko. A group of panelists included Savio's own Theolgy Chair, Mrs. Alanna Heyl.
