Application Process
1. Visit Savio
The best way to get to know St. Dominic Savio and all that makes our school a unique learning environment is to tour our campus and meet the community. There are many visiting opportunities for parents and students. This step is encouraged, but it is not essential to the application process. Visiting opportunities include Parent Information Sessions (parents), Open House (Parents and Students), Shadow Visits (current 8th grade and above), and Individual Visits.

2. Complete Application
Applications for admission are conducted online. Select the button below to start the application process. Families new to St. Dominic Savio will be prompted to create an account through the admissions portal. All components of the application process will be conducted through the online application. Applications still being accepted!

3. Required Supplemental Documents
Review the list of required documents for the application process. Completed applications will be reviewed once all required supplemental documents have been received by the Admissions Office.

4. Take Placement Test
All applicants for the 9th grade are required to take the PSAT 8/9 placement test. Savio will administer the test on site in January. Registration is through the online application. Applicants for the 9th grade may also submit scores from the ISEE (Independent School Entrance Exam) or the SSAT (Secondary School Admission Test) in lieu of the PSAT 8/9. For transfer students, we will accept the PSAT, SAT, ACT, or ISEE.
5. Student Interview
All student applicants are required to participate in a personal interview at St. Dominic Savio. Once a completed online application is submitted, applicants will be contacted by the Admissions Office to schedule an interview.
6. Accept Admission Offer
Upon notification of acceptance, you will receive an invitation to enroll and reserve your child's space for the 2023-2024 school year.

St. Dominic Savio Catholic High School is dedicated to its mission and to the Catholic community in and around the city of Austin. All interested students and families are encouraged to apply. The Admission Committee determines the qualification of candidates for admission on the basis of the following; a student’s desire for a Catholic education, a completed online application, a student essay, past academic performance and discipline records, Math and English teacher recommendations, student interview with the Admission Committee and the demonstrated ability/potential to be successful in a college preparatory environment.
