Swim Team

Head Coach Bonita Galvan

Coach Bonita has been coaching swimming and water polo for over 7 years. She’s coached all kids and skill levels from ages 5 to 18. Born and raised in San Antonio, and a part of AAAA most of her life, she continued her water polo career in college in California. While in college she graduated with a degree in Software Engineering and now also holds a certification for personal training. This is her second year coaching for St Dominic Savio, and last year she led the girls' team to a silver medal at TAPPS State and is looking forward to being even better this upcoming season.

Assistant Coach Amy Dupuy

A competitive swimmer for over 30 years, Coach Amy started swimming at age 7 for club teams in the Dallas, Texas area.  She earned a huge victory for Duncanville High School in the 5A State championship in the 100 Freestyle.  After being recruited to swim by several universities around the nation, she ultimately chose the University of Houston on a full swimming scholarship. Today, Amy can be found training and occasionally competing as a USMS Masters Swimmer.

Amy decided to share her abilities and knowledge with our youth to help them learn to swim, improve their swimming abilities, and find passion, life skills, and self-esteem through sport.

She is married with two beautiful daughters, ages 7 and 4, who are my world as well as two super sweet senior cattle dog mixes. She also enjoys painting projects, anything horses, surfing, wake surfing, the beach, spending time in and on the water, and triathlons.
