We were blessed to welcome Diocese of Austin Bishop Daniel Garcia on Wednesday, during the joyful celebration of the Easter Octave, as he celebrated Mass with our school community at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. This special visit had a meaningful story behind it. A couple of months ago, two freshmen, AJ Winkeler and Maciek Goertz, shared with Principal Mr. Psencik that they hoped Bishop Garcia could celebrate Mass with Savio during the Easter Octave. He encouraged them to write a personal invitation and ensured it was delivered.

In his homily, Bishop Garcia reflected on the beauty and dignity of every human person and encouraged us to step beyond our comfort zones to encounter God in others, especially the most vulnerable. It is in these encounters that God reveals Himself and His love to us.

We are grateful for his presence, his message, and the opportunity to gather in faith during this Easter season. Thank you, Bishop Garcia!
