Cheerleading

As representatives of St. Dominic Savio, the cheerleaders assist and promote the athletic program through a variety of events and games throughout the school year. Every year, the cheerleaders assist with coordinating the Cuts for Cancer school-wide event. Cheerleading tryouts begin in mid-April for the team the following school year. Once school begins in the fall, the squad practices every week to prepare for upcoming games and school pep rallies. Please contact the coach to learn more. 

Coaching Staff

Sydney Muck comes to Savio Cheer from Houston, Texas! She is a 3X National Cheerleading Association Champion Athlete, a 1X TAPPS Cheer State Champion Coach, and the 2024 Allen Academy Coach of the Year.

With 18+ years of experience, including 12+ years at Woodlands Elite and 2 years at Texas A&M University, where she was part of the 2022–2023 NCA Collegiate D1A National Champion team, Sydney brings a wealth of knowledge to the team. She earned her degree in Sports Management and Communications from TAMU and is now a Class and Team Coach at Cheer Station, as well as a Digital Creator for many top cheerleading companies!

In addition to coaching, Sydney is a Videographer and can often be found at events with a camera in hand. When she’s not coaching, she enjoys reading and spending time with her pets—two guinea pigs (ask her about them)!
