The Savio Summer Programs offer a variety of ages to participate in additional academic, athletic and/or fine arts activities on the Savio campus. The programs are taught by current faculty and coaches with years of experience in their area of instruction. Please review the information carefully.
Spaces are limited each session and each session will have a maximum of 14 students. The age groups for the camps will be based on the 2019 - 2020 incoming school year. All camps will be held in the art room at St. Dominic Savio. All Art camps are $220 per session, which includes all materials and supplies with a snack each day. Students will explore a variety of media and end the week with an art show. Join the Fine Arts Department Chair, Mrs. Celeste Robbins, for a week of art camp and see the following times and age group sessions.
Session 1: June 3 - 7 (1st - 3rd Grades)
Session 1-morning sessions are from 9:00 AM-noon for rising 1st - 3rd graders.
Session 2: June 3-7 (4th - 8th Grades)
Session 2 afternoons are from 1:00 PM - 4:00 pm for rising 4th - 8th graders.
Baseball Camp: 3rd - 8th Grade
A four-day baseball camp July 22-25 from 9:00 AM-noon, with Coach Bryan Edwards for boys ages 9 – 14 years old. The cost is $295. Registration is required through the form located at the button below.
Girls’ Basketball Camp: 9th - 12th Grades
Join St. Dominic Savio Coach Rich Carr & Coach Tommie Baker to prepare for the upcoming 2019-2020 Basketball Season. The camp will cover Offensive & Defensive fundamentals with an emphasis shooting technique. We will also focus on position play: Guards (Coach Baker), Posts (Coach Baker). Boys and Girls Basketball: 2nd - 8th Grade
This four-day camp, June 17-19 at 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM is offered for Girls and Boys 2nd-8th Grades. These sessions are run by Lone Star Hoops LLC owner Jan Jernberg. Students will learn to improve their fundamental skills, their understanding of the game, and their willingness to compete as Christian athletes. Football Strength & Conditioning Camp
St. Dominic Savio Strength & Conditioning Camp is open to all Savio students and is great for team bonding and will work with team sports in season or offseason. All programs will focus on proper muscular development for increase speed, strength, power, and agility with emphasis on injury prevention. This camp will be held June 3rd - July 18th, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays from 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM. The camp is $250 and will be held by the Football Coaching Staff. Soccer Speed and Strength Camp
This camp will be held by Coach Steven Cardenas, June 3 - July 13, Monday and Wednesdays from 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM for Boys and Girls in incoming grades 7th - 12th. This camp is $100 / month. Registration is required through the form located at the button below.
There will be a 3-day skills camp for middle school players and a 3-day intensive training camp for high school players open to all returning volleyball players and incoming freshman. Head Coach Megan Leath will be conducting both camps geared at helping the girls improve their fundamental skills, their understanding of the game and positions as well as provide them with a greater appreciation of volleyball as a whole. The Girls Middle school camp is June 24-26, from 8:00 AM-noon. The cost is $165. The High School Camp (incoming 9th - 12th grades) is July 24-27 from 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM. The cost is $195. Volleyball Strength and Conditioning Camp

St. Dominic Savio will host three different music camps Monday - Friday the first week of June, June 3rd - 7th. Registration forms should be turned into the front office. Beginning Band and Orchestra: 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM
This camp offers a great opportunity for students to get a head start on their band or orchestra experience. Students in 5th through 12th grade with little to no music experience are invited to learn a band or orchestra instrument during this week. At the end of the week, the students will perform a short concert showcasing what they have learned in the camp. Students are required to rent or own an instrument for the camp. Instruments can be rented from Strait Music Company in Austin, TX.
Advanced Band and Orchestra Camp: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
This camp is intended for students who have one or more years' experience playing a band or orchestra instrument. Students in 5th-12th grade are invited to attend. Attending this camp will give students a great opportunity to further develop their instrumental music skills. At the end of the week, the students will perform a short concert showcasing what they have learned in the camp. All students must provide their own instruments for this camp.
Beginning Guitar Camp: 1:00 AM - 3:00 PM
This camp will help students begin to develop the ability to play guitar. St. Dominic Savio will provide guitars for the camp, but students are also welcome to bring their own guitar. Students 10 years or older are welcome to attend the camp. At the end of the week, the students will perform a short concert showcasing what they have learned in the camp. We have a limited number of guitars, so sign up for the camp as soon as possible!
