Once you have been accepted, you should confirm your acceptance by completing the online enrollment and paying your registration fee. To reserve your space, online enrollment must be completed by due date.
Readiness Tests are offered in April for enrolled students entering in the fall. Testing is required for students who have taken Algebra I, Geometry, Spanish I, Latin I, or Chinese I and wishes to advance to the Pre-AP level of the next course within the departmental curriculum. Any student wishing to be enrolled in Pre-AP English I is required to take the English writing proficiency.
All new families are required to attend the New Parent/Student Orientation and Social regarding planning for the upcoming school year. One parent is asked to attend along with their student. Training will be provided on the school management system, RenWeb, in addition to reviewing other new family administrative items. Orientation date for 2017-2018 applicants is April 1, 2017.
The New Student Orientation is held in August of each year, just prior to the start of school in order to acclimate students. Orientation schedules will be distributed to all registered school families each spring.
New Student Uniform Fair: Parker Uniforms will hold an in-store uniform fair in early June for new Savio families only. Parker will offer special discounts on all purchases at the uniform fair. Parker will also hold an "Open Late Night" for Savio families only in mid July. No discounts will be offered on this day.
Savio will host a Uniform Resale Day at the end of the school year in the school Commons. During this time, incoming and returning families will be given the opportunity to purchase uniform items from current families. Pricing will be determined by individual selling families. St. Dominic Savio assumes no responsibility for the exchange.
Families interested in participating in the morning and afternoon transportation program, must complete the Transportation Request Form by June 1 of each year. Those wishing to volunteer at St. Dominic Savio are required to complete the Ethics in Ministry workshop, and become EIM certified. EIM certification is required for any person that volunteers on or off campus for any school activity where children are involved. An application must be completed online through the website for the Diocese of Austin. Applicants will have a background check conducted, and must participate in a workshop every three years.
