A Legacy of Giving held its second annual Day of Service on Wednesday, November 24th at the Capital Area Food Bank. The Day of Service is the culmination of The Drive, a student-run food and clothing drive that Savio participated in during the month of November.   A Legacy of Giving’s 35 schools have been collecting food and coats to address the social concerns of hunger, poverty and homelessness.  During the Day of Service, students from each of the 35 schools participated in unloading the contents of the POD: the food went to the Capital Area Food Bank and the coats went into Jack Brown vans to be cleaned before being donated to Coats for Kids.  Savio brought along 11 students to unload the contents of our POD.  We impressed many people at the Day of Service with our pod that was filled with cans!  Thank you so much to all the families for helping!  It was a huge success!
