The Savio Symphony and Jazz Band attended the TAPPS Regional Instrumental Music Contest on March 3, 2010. The Symphony and Jazz Band earned superior ratings on their performances and will advance to the TAPPS State Instrumental Music Contest on April 16, 2010. Also, Gabriela Camacho and Jenna Sommer played violin solo pieces and each earned a superior rating. Their solos will also advance to state.
The Savio Choir attended the TAPPS Regional Vocal Music Contest on March 2, 2010. The choir earned a superior rating on their performance and will advance to the TAPPS State Vocal Music Contest on April 17, 2010. Also, each member of the choir, Sarah Bruce, Angela Kent, and Samantha Machann, sang a class 1 vocal solo and each earned a superior rating. Their solos will also advance to state. Congratulations!
